So this is my third Burt's Bees lip balm review and this was the second one I ever used. It's my absolute favorite. It keeps your lips crazy moisturized and smooth. There isn't any color changing (wonderful!) and there's just a hint of honey that your senses can even pick up. Honestly I go through containers of this like candy so I've had to skip around to other ones to slow down my consumption. Definitely a great buy!
Pros:Goes on great.
Keeps your lips far from the hellish world of icky chappedness.
Just plain fantastic! Cons:Not for someone that hates honey!
Can go through it crazy fast!
Review on: Burt's Bees - Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil
Ahh this is a great balm. Especially for pomegranate loving freaks like me. My mother was actually the genius who bought this one and like all things we do it was for the just because factor (which by the way includes looking cool). So it took me a while to like, mainly a few uses (Im hesitant sometimes when Im that much in love with other products like the honey one). But it has a pleasant smell and hydrates lips nicely.
Pros:See lifeguards choice review for store lists (mainly everywhere!)
Great smell.
Hydrates!
Not a bad price! Cons:Not much to say thats bad unless you have something against pomegranate or are allergic..
Review on: Burt's Bees - Lifeguard's Choice Lip Balm
I originally picked this out because I thought it could possibly have some hidden SPF within it and since Burt's Bees hasn't let me down before with chapsticks I thought I'd give it a whirl. At first your going to feel crazy heaviness and suffer white lip syndrome. It will get better! It stays put and has a great minty taste and as long as you don't overload on it like you would with a normal balm you wont have any issues with the white. Great for outdoors!
Pros:Softens lips.
Lasts forever.
Can be found basically anywhere via drugstores like Walgreens, also Walmart, Target, even Borders!
Perfect for the beach! Cons:If you use too much your lips turn a very light pink and you look sickly. Just rub with your fingers till it turns a fairly normal shade of lip.
Can also show chappedness to the extreme!
Review on: Cynthia Rowland - Theraputic Lip Creme (TLC)
After you have used the Luscious Lips plumping device and system, it is recommended that you apply the Therapeutic Lip Creme (also known as TLC). This amazing lip creme possesses an array of nutrients that are good for your lips and even includes a special, scientifically safe plumping agent from France. What makes this creme even more is amazing, is the fact it possesses a sweet, yet flavorful aroma and flavor.
When you first apply this amazing product to your lips, you will notice a slight tingle. Nothing bothersome like most lip plumping promoting products I have tried. The product immediately delivers generous amounts of hydration and promotes fuller, sexier lips in seconds.
As a lip gloss fanatic and one who can appreciate any kind of lip product on this sort of wavelength, to be honest, this is one of the best lip creams I have ever tried in my life.
Pros:Moisturizes lips, Delivers amazing hydration to the lips and surrounding skin, Promotes fullness Cons:Absolutely nothing.
I have tried an array of lip plumping products. Sure some of them worked, but only moderately or temporary. The Luscious Lips lip plumping system by Cynthia Rowland is truly a force to be reckoned with, as this works the best out of any other marketed lip plumping product. This product is truly effective and so far, the results have been outstanding. Quite possibly the only lip plumping promoted product that actually lives up to it's actual promise and concept, which it is marketed as. The Luscious Lips system is easily one of the best lip products in the world today (if not, the best) and one of the most practical, underrated innovations in the beauty business. I truly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to achieve a fuller, sexier pout without needles, drugs, or risks. This is your answer. With this amazing lip product, you have my promise, that it does work.
Pros:Plumps lips without needles, drugs, or risk. The packaging quality is beautiful. Lives up to it's promise, to which it is marketed as. Cons:Absolutely nothing.
-Lovely thick lip balm. I don't like the light ones that slide straight off. This one is thick and rich and stays on my lips. The vanilla scent is gorgeous. I only use lip balm at night as I'm unable to apply during my work hours so I need a lip balm that works to stop my lips getting dry overnight. This lip balm does just that! My lips are soft and moisturised in the morning.
Review on: Mark - Kiss Xpert- Lip Smoothing Treatment
I got these for free and thought it was the best in the world for my less than perfect pout. It literally smoothed all the edges on my lips and smelled good as well. You could even feel the gritty stuff on you finger when you put it on! The container was fairly small though and that's the only reason I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
Pros:Didn't feel horribly rough, smelled sweet but not strong, sorta vanillaly, cheap Cons:small amount, has been discontinued
this product contains waxes, shea butter and castor oil. it comes in a stick (4gr). provides SPF5 UVA/UVB sunscreen.
although i quite like it, and it really nourishes your lips, i feel it didn't sink in the lips pretty well or too quickly, because i felt the need to reapply it frequently.
the story tragically ends and by the time i reach half of it, the stick melted and broke in the tube. i so hate when this happens.
This product reminds me of Vaseline, except it's packaged in a white and gold tube thus making it easier to cary around with you and apply, and in my opinion, it keeps my lips softer then Vaseline.
This is a great product to apply under lipstick or over lipstick. It works well both ways.
Chapped Lip Repair is packaged in a white and gold tube, with a screw top lid and the tip is on a slant so this makes it easy to apply.
Pros:Keeps lips nice and soft
Works well under or over lipstick Cons:None that I can think of
Review on: MD SKINCARE - MD Skincare Instant Beautification Lip Area Patch
well i have no idea why i bought this, a sephora employee urged me into buying it,it didnt do much for me since i am still young and have absolutely NOTHING wrong with my lips, but i tried it on my mom and it worked wonders for her so i guess it works if you have aging above the lip.
Pros:worked for my mom Cons:did nothing for me =( lol
Review on: Philosophy - Kiss Me Exfoliating Lip Scrub
i had yet to find skin care for my lips and there it was lol a lip exfoliant! this stuff is great, its like a mini-microdermabrasion for my lips,it keeps it soft and removes all the chapped dead skin off my lips, leaving with fresh looking and feeling lips!
Pros:great exfoliator
keeps lips fresh and clean
scrubs off chapped dead skin
cute packaging Cons:none
Review on: Sally Hansen - Sally Hansen Lip Inflation
Bought this last night and put it on in car right away...nothing. Put some more on after grocery shopping...nothing. I was feeling some type if irritation though...not a bad feeling. I put this on a few more times before I went to bed and when I woke up....something. I actually do have some swelling in my lips and some redness. Immediately put a gloss on to see further and it was def a difference. Not as much as I would like as I don't have full lips at all but am wondering if this will increase over time. For 7.50, what can I say? I'll have to be much harsher on the higher end ones for sure. My next trip will be to Sephora to sample Lip Fusion XL. I only hope that having used Lip Inflation already, I don't get a 'false positive'. Something in my gut says XL will work, maybe it's my body chemistry, for for $50 it better! I will submit a report on that as well. Am not against buying Sally again...I got my $7 worth I feel.
Review on: Neutrogena - Neutrogena Lip Boost Intense Moisture Therapy
Before I start, let me at least give credit to Neutrogena for the old formula for this product, because it really was great. It did everything it claimed, and had a sweet, sort of fruity smell and taste from the cucumber and fruit extracts. The texture was silky and when used overnight, worked wonders for my always-dry lips. It was a great product.
When the "new formula" came out, however, I was severely disappointed. They added at least one new ingredient, which might be the sesame seed oil. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't make the entire product smell AWFUL, kind of like Crisco, and very greasy and oily on the lips - quite frankly, it feels a bit disgusting.
It doesn't seem to penetrate as deeply or work nearly as well, either, because I had to keep reapplying it. Even after wearing it overnight, I didn't feel a significant difference in the texture of my lips like I did before.
Overall, what used to be a great product turned into an awful (and smelly) one with a few changes to the formula. I'll be sad when the last of my older tube is gone... but honestly, skip out on this one. Unless you enjoy the smell of Crisco on your lips, I guess.
Pros:Moisturizes dry lips Cons:Awful smell, greasy, doesn't last, need to keep reapplying
Review on: Avon - Moisture Therapy Intensive Moisturizing Lip Treatm
An amazing lip balm. It has everything you want. It moisturizes for hours, it's unscented with spf 15, does not break off in clumps, and is super cheap at 79 cents.
This is a lipbalm in a pretty slimline gold container that moisturises my lips and keeps them soft and hydrated. My lips feel smooth and soft even after it's worn off.
Adds subtle shine and is perfect for wearing under lipgloss/lipstick or wearing on its own.
This is one of the best lipbalms I've ever used and I will rebuy for sure.
Pros:Subtle shine
Perfect for wearing under lipgloss/lipstick
Cons:None that I can think of
I'm not a huge fan of Labellos even if they're VERY popular here and you can find them almost everywhere (no kidding!). I especially dislike the colored ones as they look horrible on me (i.e. Cherry Kiss or Passion Fruits). That being said, I really appreciate Classic. This balm is colorless, flavourless, very moisturizing and - last but not least - inexpensive. I always take one with me and when my lips become dry... I apply it generously! So far so good.
Review on: B&C Laboratories : Variety Cosme - AfricaMango Super Lipbalm
I really love this lipbalm. It actually works - my lips are less chapped as a result of using it. The scent isn't 'fake mango' smelling either - it smells fresh and fruity and not at all manufactured.'
Basically, it does everything a good lipbalm should - it smooths chapped and dry lips, making them feel plump and hydrated. It lasts a decent amount of time, it smells good, and it gives a really nice, subtle shine to the lips too!
absolutely love this product
Pros:works!! smells good, feels smooth on, lasts for ages Cons:I havent seen it australia
