Review on: Mary-Kate and Ashley - Shimmer Plus All Over Shimmering Color in Glisteni
This is a chubby pencil that can be used on eyes, cheeks, and lips (although this particular color does not look good on the lips, IMO). It's a silver glitter pencil. Even though it's called "shimmering color" it is def. silver chunky glitter. I've never put it on my cheeks. I only use it as an eyeliner & I really like how it looks with a black/silver smoky eye. It comes in a range of colors, and I will be trying out the different colors.
I probably won't repurchase because a little goes a long way & the pencil will probably last a long time. It feels nice & smooth going on; it's not grainy or scratchy at all. The best thing about this pencil is that it lasts for hours without fading and it doesnt come off on your hands. Personally I wish it was a little slimmer of a pencil because it draws too thick of a line when I put it on as eyeliner. Plus, you need to buy a special sharpener for it.
Pros:Cheap;easy to use; soft texture; lasts for hours Cons:it's too "jumbo"; needs a special sharpener.
It's the easiest way to use glitter as an eyeliner that I've ever found. With this chunky pencil you just draw it on. It lasts fairly well, although if I'm wearing it out I will take it with me for a mid-evening touch up, and it also comes in a range of other colours including gold, pastel shades and black.
Pros:Easy to use, inexpensive Cons:Not bad for staying power, but not as good as some
This is another sample I have. Mac Glitter in Crystal Pink. It this even sold anymore? Got it off ebay. This is a glittery hot pink in the jar, but on your skin it is a much more sheer shade with pink glitter. Not sure if this is a pigment or a glitter. It is courser to the touch and application, not the silky smooth feel of other pigments. I think this would be used as a glitter, but I really don't like the courseness of this and honestly it doesn't have staying power, even when I mix it with mixing medium, I just can't get it to stay put.

First, the reason I would never purchase this again is because it was discontinued over a year ago. On top of that, I will never ever finish this jar of finely milled glitter unless I accidentally spill it all over the place.
This is a ruby red slipper kind of red, Its vividly bright and gorgeous. I only ever use it when I'm wearing red lipstick or gloss to press into the color for extra glitz. And while it may seem rediculous to buy a product for just that one purpose, it was totally worth it. The results are stunning. I don't think I'd be capable of wearing a red without it.
I even feel the need to press this into my more coral toned colors like MAC Pink Grapefruit. Its that good.
Review on: Tony & Tina - Cosmic Lights in Transcendence
Color: White. But applies irredescent blue/violet
Finish: Duh! Glitter
Review: I think best thing about these glitters is the texture. They are very finely milled and paper based which makes them eye safe. Yay!! for being eye safe. Once upon a time I didn't give two hoots about glitters being eye safe, but as I get older, its something I take into account.
This color is really pretty, but I never reach for it. I like to press it over MAC Vellum eyeshadow, but its not a look I wear that ofter. (4 times a year at the max, and only for night time clubbing looks)
This does make a great clubby look though. Pack MAC Vellum e/s onto the lid. It has the same duochrome finish, so it works well with Transcendence. Apply an eye cream or clear sticky base and mixe it on the lid with Vellum. While the formula is still tacky, press a thin thin layer of the glitter to the eyelid. I finish with a coat of black gel liner and lots of mascara.

Color: Hot Pink/Fushia (Definite violet undertones in this)
Finish: Duh! Glitter
Review: I have only used this on my eyes once, and it was for a Halloween costume. I used it with Fushia pigment, heavy black liner, and fake lashes. The results were quite shocking, but lots of fun.
For the most part, I just put a tiny dab of this on my lips when I wear deep pinks, sheer fushias, magentas, and colors with those tones. It makes a very lovely combination with MAC Flashmode Lustreglass layered over Sophito l/s.
I think the biggest trick is getting these to stay put on the eyes. I use a glycerin based product that will say "wet" to hold these to my lids. A great product is actually Burts Bees Carrot Eye Creme. I don't think I've ever used this as an under eye creme, but it holds my loose glitters like no other.
This is a fun color, but I will never use it up, so there's no need to repurchase.

I bought this off Ebay because it sounded gorgeous. And it is. It comes in a tiny tube which initially I thought would last 5 minutes. But you only need the tinest bit and it puts a beautiful sparkly (with subtle glitter) on your skin. It is gorgeous.
Pros:A tiny bit goes a long way. A gorgeous (not over the top) glitter Cons:Would be pricey if bought at a dept store (in New Zealand anyway).

Rose pink glitter that reflects pink and green. This stuff is finely milled, so it feels soft and silky. It will fall all over you, so try applying it with lotion or aloe vera gel to make it stick better.

Bright fuschia pink that reflects blue-violet. I really love these glitters. To make them stick better apply with some lotion or aloe vera gel. Also looks great in hair! This stuff is really actually eye safe. everything irritates my eyes, but this stuff doesn't!

Iridescent white that reflects purple. This is totally eye safe and can be used all over the body, in hair or on wet nail polish. Finely milled so it feels nice on my skin.
Metallic silver glitter, actually eye safe!! This glitter looks great everywhere, body, face, hair, even nails! It does tend to fall all over, but apply it over lotion or aloe vera gel and it sticks well.

Firey red, looks like flickers of fire when it catches the light. This stuff is actually eye safe. Everything irritates my eyes, but this glitter doesn't. It is milled really well into small safe pieces.
