I'd seen a few commericals on TV for L'oreal Age Perfect foundation, and they immediately caught my attention due to the claim of flawless coverage and extra-hyrdation (for mature skin). Now, i do not have mature skin, but i do face alot of issues older women tend to face like perpetually dry, sallow skin, and blotchyness.
My skin isn't clear enough to only wear a light foundation, but most powders only make my dry, flaky skin look even worse, especially considering i tend to be a little heavy handed with powders.
I've been using a few other "mature" products lately, like Olay Total Effects cleansing cloths & Moisturizer, and i've already noticed a big improvement. I feel the extra vitamins and mousiture in these products are seriously benefiting my challeneged complection. So i fugured, why not try "mature" foundation also?
I picked up a jar of L'oreal Age Perfect Makeup in Sun Beige at Walgreens for just under $17.00 (with tax). The packaging states that the makeup also includes Dermo-Peptide and Marine Collagen to "Help support skin by restoring elasticity and smoothness."
Ok, i'm stoked. Let's try it.
The first thing i noticed when applying it was that it indeed was surprisingly light. It also covered flawlessly, just as the commerical claims. I found that i could use it as a concealer as well, just by using a "dabbing" motion on trouble spots, rather than "sweeping," as the package recommends.
The end result was a flawless finish that matched my skintone so perfectly, i didn't look like i was wearing any makeup at all! My skin looked dewy, instead of cakey. It didn't amplify any of my drin spots either, it atually cobcealed them! It dires to a greasless, satin-like finish, so no setting powder is required!
All in all, i think this a fantastic product, and i recommed it to anyone with similar skin issues to mine!
